Why I Chose This Piece:
This assignment is from this winter when we wrote a slice of life with an Instagram picture of it. I never got around to drawing my picture but i had a good plan for it. I chose this slice of life because I never completely finished it and thought this idea deserved to be completed.
Slice of Life Piece:
I looked out of the foggy bus window and saw the school named Painted Pole Middle school. “What kind of a name is that? And what kind of weather is this?” I thought to myself. The bus stopped and I got off. The cold air struck me almost immediately and made me want to push my way back onto the bus. I took my lacrosse gear off the bus and started to put my gear on. Despite the fact that I was wearing three layers, I felt like an ice cube out in front of the school. Once I had all of my gear on, I still felt like I was at the north pole (if it didn’t have snow.) Anyway, this was going to be a long and frigid game.
