Context & Reflection:
The assignment I chose is a recent slice of life “A Day At The Hospital”. It was about a day when I bit my tongue almost completely off. I chose this because It was the first thing that came into my head and I think it would be a good piece for this.
The Piece:
It was a breezy sunny day and I was at the playground with my classmates for recess. A couple of friends and I were playing tag.I was running and I wasn't paying attention to where I was running to and boom!!! Another student popped right out in front of me and I flew on to the rough pile of wood chips. As I got up off the wood chips I started to taste this bitter taste I spat on to a patch of lime green leaves. I then sawl what looked like a darker red type of fractals all spread on the leaves. I ran over to the teacher with blood gushing in to my hand from covering my mouth.
The teacher rushed me down the dim hallway to the nurse's office. It seemed like it was dimmer in the nurse's office than the hallway. I rushed over to the sink as the nurse turn on the foset. She turn each knob about halfway so I would not burn my hands because then we would have another problem to deal with. The nurse call my mother and explained what was going on.My mom was their in just a few minutes becasue we lived just across the street from the school. As my mom got their she rushed to the nurse's office and we then rushed out of the building, and drove to the hospital everything was going extremely fast.
When we arrived at the hospital my mom and I got out of the car the bleeding went down a lot but I could still taste that terrible bitter taste. The doctors told us to wait in the waiting room for a few minutes the doctor came out off the big double doors. they took me in to a room. As he checked my tongue out he asked the nurse for some more paper towels.
Later that day the doctor came back into the room. Their wasn’t much they could do because they couldn't put stitches in my tongue, but he said it would heal on its own. He also said I almost bit my tongue completely off.If that had happened I wouldn’t have a tongue today. To this day I still have a scar on my tongue exactly were my teeth went in.
Revised:
It was a breezy sunny day my friends and I were at the playground for recess,we were playing tag.I was the tagger and I was chasing someone around the playground. I was know for a habit of sticking my tongue out back then when I was doing things. Then which surprised me and probably surprised the student that popped right out in front of me as I was running which made me bash right into his head and go flying on to a rough bed of wood chips. As I got up off the wood chips I started to taste this bitter taste. I spat on to a patch of lime green leaves. I then sawl what looked like a darker red type of fractals all spread on the leaves. He also said I was very lucky that I didn’t bite harder then I already did because it would have came completly off.If that had happened I wouldn’t have a tongue today. To this day I still have a scar on my tongue exactly were my teeth went in.

Anyway, the overall spelling could be better, but it was readable, and maybe you could have put some 'pain words' in there to spark some pity for you... but overall, I thought it was really good! Unless you write another thing about blood tongue. I refuse to comment on that.
