Should students learn another language?
I chose this essay because it is a good example of persuasive writing. In this essay I shared my opinion about learning another language and I gave reasons to support my opinion. .
I chose this essay because I like this question and I think it is important. After reading over my piece of writing, I fixed the verb tenses and my spelling. I also added vocabulary. This makes my writing better because it is more clear.
Many people think that learning another language is good because it helps you later in your life. But other people disagree with them because they think the students are getting confused or other things. Some students learn another language in their school, but other students haven’t the chance to learn another language! But I think everyone should try to learn another language!.
I strongly believe that students should learn another language because it could help them to travel in other countries. It could help them to better understand the people who live there and you can communicate with them.
Learning another language can also help all students. For example, it can help you to understand other cultures better. And maybe, if you can communicate with people from other cultures, you can understand their way of life.
But most importantly, it could help students to get you would have a better chance to get the job. According to the website How Being Bilingual Can Boost Your Career “Research from RosettaStone found that people who speak at least one foreign language have an average annual household income that's $10,000 higher than the household income of those who only speak English. And about 17 percent of those who speak at least one foreign language earn more than $100,000 a year.”(http://www.iseek.org/news/fw/fw6715FutureWork.html) That is another reason why I think you have to speak another language.
It is very helpful to learn another language. Learning another can only help you! What would happen, if no one can speak another language?
About the author
The author of this piece is Anna Dobler. She is a motivated student in 7 grade. At DeWitt she enjoys the FCS class the most because she doesn’t have this class in Germany. This year Anna has improved significantly as an English student. She improved her vocabulary, grammar and she is a stronger writer. She improved her vocabulary by listening how the other people speak. She is a stronger writer and she improved her grammar because she has to write every week 4 learning logs for Ms. Hoffman. This helped her because Ms. Hoffman corrected her grammar. Anna has learned a lot in this short time in America.
I liked this piece! It was informative, interesting, and inspirational! (Yes, see the three 'i' s? Pro?!) It maintained a fine balance stiffness from science pieces and information. It also balanced quotes well and was pretty interesting. Except. There is one HUGE problem. You WROTE YOURSELF AT THIRD PERSON???!!! DO NOT BE LIKE LELAND. LELAND IS DEATH AND COMMUNISM. PLEASE HELP ME. LELAND NEEDS MENTAL HELP. I am a potato. I am a unicorn. JUST NOTHING LIKE "Seokyoung is a potato. Seokyoung is a unicorn!!" NON O NO O NO!
ReplyDeleteSeoky's Grade: 100! WOW! FIRST ONE HUNDRED! Except- third person. You lose one hundred points for that. Zero points.
