Reading Reflection

Reading Reflection

Introduction:
The assignment I chose is one of my first reading reflections I did in the 7th grade. I’m showing off my learning of reading a book or poem or something then reflecting on that piece of writing. I chose this piece because there was a fair amount of mistakes but still a solid piece of writing. I mostly changed GUMS errors but also one formating error. These changes make it better by making it easier to read and understand.
The Piece:
I’m reading the book Infinity Ring . The author is James Dashner. It is about two friends, Dak and Sera, who are time travelers. My favorite character is Riq. He’s my favorite because he hates all the other characters, and he always makes fun of them. He also knows sixteen languages. He learned five languages by the age of five, then he  learned a new language every year since. I can’t remember why I chose it because it was so long ago, but it is a really good  book.
About the Author:
In general, I’m a pretty good student. In English class, I’m good aswell. Comparing last year to this year, last year I was more lenient than this year, probably because Ms. Cernera is meaner than Ms. Bechert, but she’s good nonetheless. I feel like I have improved a lot not only in English class, but as a student in all classes. I feel this way because when I write extended responses, for example, it used to be hard for me to get the formatting right or make no GUMS errors. Now it is way easier to do this.

  1. Simon-- Good job! I also did my first Reading Response, it's so cool to look at your writing from long ago and compare it to your new style and abilities. Keep writing and improving!
